- No logs. Our GlobalLeaks instance strips IP addresses and metadata from submissions.
- Need-to-know access. Tips are seen only by the reporter assigned to the story.
- No police cooperation. We do not voluntarily share source information with law enforcement or government agencies.
- Legal defense fund. Kingfish has a commitment to defend source confidentiality in court.
What tips are most useful?
- Government documents, emails, contracts, or invoices
- Evidence of public corruption, fraud, or abuse of power
- Insider knowledge of government or institutional wrongdoing
- Information that contradicts official statements with evidence
- FOIA denials where you believe the exemption is improper
